I've posted an almost identical thread to this a while ago but i dont remember getting the best responses so here is another go.

I am in love with behind the scenes footage. I, much like many, only buy dvds for what they have on the extra features.

So basically, i want to stack up on more of them because there is soo much to learn, and watching them just excites my ambitions.

So basically, some that i concider great in my collection are:

Lord of the rings, 1 2 and 3
Star Wars
Pirates of the C. 1 and 2.
Matrix

Please share with me some DVDs that have Great extended features, on set behind the scenes, and stuff that makes you go wild about this field.

:) Thanks yall.

Panic Room
Fight Club
24 season 2 (2 pt. doc on the making of one of the final episodes of the season)
24 season 5 (a 40 min. doc on the D.P. and the camera dept.)
Sin City
Alien 2 disc set
Aliens 2 disc set

Any independent films' behind the scenes or extra features

but to name some fav's:

PI
Requiem for a dream
Resivoir dogs
Memento

sick guys, keep em coming.

What i love about the pirates BTS is they bring you through everything, you meet the ast and crew, the set locations, and its quite extensive, a good two hours of fun.

Yah it is good and cheap also, thats where I bought it from, I already had an import dvd, well worth the money.

Today I am picking up the new Criterion Collection versions of Yojimbo and Sanjuro, if they are anything like the updated Seven Samurai, I will be a happy camper.

i can tell you right now that Yojimbo and Sanjuro dnt have much behind the scenes stuff...

what does the new SS have?

Casablanca 2 disc collectors edition. great stuff including "Carrotblanca" the Looney Tunes version of Casablanca with Bugs as Rick. I love it.

Bad Boys II has an extra disk full of great BTS footage. You learn a lot about how Bay plans a scene, and how the finished product does and does not resemble that plan.
