Here's a little video with some parts of a doc I'm working on. It's full HD, turn it on...

The rain plugin didn't work for me. For something more real, try the CC Rain in After Effects, or find some stock rain you can overlay. The color looked great though :)

haha, I liked the footage in the before stage but only because the other footage has been manipulated too far. The vignette effect was not used appropriately on most frames (the first shot it was well used) and too much at that (I'd dial it back, that's a heavy vignette) The coloring was extreme, at times seeming like a 're-enactment' or abstract reality type shot (like a flashback or memory, etc). If you like the blue, I'd dial it back just a little. It looked like everything was manipulated.

There is a fine balance with cinematography. We owe a very careful balance between pictoral beauty, effect and invisibility. You went too far with effect and have called attention to the shot, which has corrupted your invisibility. It looks manipulated and that removes me from feeling or believing the genuineness of the footage.

Second version published (first post, second video), what do you think now ? Consider I'm trying to recreate the mood of Hugo Cabret's background cityscapes, like the one in this picture:
