Been a while for a weird music video.

Look, this isn't "Apache," and it isn't "I Wanna Love You Tender," but it's that vein of low-budget European TV music show.

In 1983/84, Tracey Ullman toured TV shows around the world singing (well, lip-synching) her biggest hit, "They Don't Know." In pretty much every appearance, she was there with the same two backups, always wearing the same dresses, and doing the same little dance during the guitar solo.

But this one had creepy cardboard snowmen which danced along with them. She knew it was weird, too, so wait for the end.

It's annoying that the video is blocked in this country because Merlin Union Square Music on copyright grounds! Nice big caption comes up!

I remember watching The Tracey Ullman Show on FOX when I was a kid. TTUS and Married… With Children were two of the premier shows that helped launch FOX. Tracey lasted about four seasons while it's baby/spinoff- The Simpsons- is about to enter it's 27th season on the same network. Funny how that stuff works out sometimes...

Same thing here in Germany. Annoying but good that someone's fighting for the songwriters so that not all of the money just ends up in Google's pockets.

For a moment, I thought "TTUS" was supposed to be "Titus," another Fox show from the early 2000s. That one definitely didn't help launch Fox!

Ah, but who remember The New Adventures of Beans Baxter, with Kurtwood Smith as Mr. Sue?

Had to look up Beans on IMDB. I don't remember that one, BUT I do remember Titus, though. And Kurtwood Smith in Robo Cop.

FOX has had some good shows that they cancelled way too soon, like The Sarah Connor Chronicles and New Amsterdam. Ironically the lead stars in both of those cancelled shows are now stars in one of the biggest series out there: Game of Thrones. For those that never watched the two FOX shows, Lena Headey was Sarah Connor before Cersei Lannister and her incestuous brother, Jaime, played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, played a much more likable, semi-immortal John Amsterdam/John York in New Amsterdam.
