A more appropriate way to phrase that would be "Which was less crappy?"

Action is actually my favorite genre now, because I feel that it makes the purest use of film form. It's weird since it wasn't really before. But when stuff blows up and it blows up really well (War of the Worlds, Armegeddon, Die Hard, Terminator 2, Spiderman 2, The Matrix), that just makes me really happy. I guess it's more good craftsmanship than artistry, but I don't care--I love action movies, although I need a decent script or I don't get into it as much.

These weren't Bay's best, though. The Rock was by far his best. The funny thing is, he's an alumn of the school I go to and everyone here really dislikes him--even most of the faculty. And that's after he donated all sorts of money. I think he's a huge talent, though, and always look forward to his movies, even though I'm not always impressed.

The Rock kicks major ass! That sucks that they don't give the man respect at his school. Where do you go, policar, Pasadena Art School?

The Island was a good film, though BB2 was not one of my favs of Bay. The first was better, in my opinion. I shouldn't admit liking a Bay film, as a degree in film history goes right out the window when you say one of his films was any good. He is a huge talent, and I'd love to see him expand his range a little bit and maybe do a smaller thriller or horror film.
