Battlestar Galactica

Yeah that was wild. I'm kinda of concerned though. Not sure where they're going with all that stuff. But I'll try to have faith it'll be somethin real good. It will either be great, or we may have just witnessed BSG "jumping the shark". Time will tell.

I appreciate that the producers are willing to do that. This is one show that isn't afraid to take a chance and swing for the fence.

I hope it pans out -- but they may have alienated a lot of fans, because it looks like the show might be NOTHING like what it was originally.

Well when you have wagon train in space, sooner or later the train has to get somewhere. And they sure can't come to Earth. That show's been done. Horribly ;)

With all the good reviews the show has been recieving I think we'll see a few more years. Even though they canned Farscape for it.

I think the current storyline had played itself out and these drastic changes will be good.

I dunno. There was still so much unfinished about the portion with the Arrow they found that led them to the circle of maps obilisks, the stealth fighter could have spawned a new way to get more on the inner workings of the Cylons, there was a hell of a lot of intigue/factions/differences inside the fleet iteslf which could have been explored. They only had the Pegasus for half a season, the development of the Cylon celebrities and their infuences and impact on Cylon society should have been gone into more, lots of things.

Feels like is was too quick to take that plunge. They could have gotten at least another full season just with what they had.
I was shocked as hell. Rather than being pulled in, I sat back in my chair thinking, "What the hell did they do that for? Once minute the election is over, the next, it's a year later and the show's over. No decline of the new president, no shows about setting up on the new planet. Nothin.

Oh well, I'm sure hope they stay in keeping with some of the more recent episodes and start each one with "8 months ago", or something like that. Way too much backstory leapt over.

Oh, and I hope Baltar gets his testicles turned into Guacamole.

What's really surprised me is how quickly they'll introduce and kill off characters. I too think they may have mined the material too quickly. I think the quick offings in episodes exhausted storylines quicker than the material becoming stale.

Holy Frickin' Cow!

I don't want to read this thread for fear of spoilers, but I gather there is another cliffhanger. ARGHGHGHGHG! I about had a stroke waiting for the second season DVD's to come out. I don't wanna do this again!!! :furious3:

I love hating this. Great show.

I take it from the first few comments that it's a good show. I avoided the rest in case of spoilers. Am I really missing something?

I was a fan of the original (well, I was a kid). I know Ron Thornton from Babylon 5 is working on the new one, so it should at least look good.
