Looks like it's going to piss me off by being exceptionally well-written and I won't be able to hate it like I really, really want to because all of the people look, dress, and talk like they're from Southern California, 2004 and the Cylons are human and the Vipers shoot bullets and they use ridiculous whip-pans and snap zooms and THEY DON'T USE THE GREATEST THEME IN THE HISTORY OF THEMES . . . .

Re: Battlestar Galactica

She LOOKS like Dirk.

So help me, I want to hate this show. But they're gonna hook me . . .

Re: Battlestar Galactica

Remember how cool the original was? Sectons, microns, sectars, yahren . . .

No, now they use seconds, minutes, hours, etc., and use standard dial clocks.

There's so much about it that's irritating.

And did I mention the theme? They don't use the theme?

Re: Battlestar Galactica

They dont use the theme? That theme was epic. I was serious; my favorite Sci FI tv show ever; rivals alot of Sci Fi films.

The CYLONS looked scary
The ships looked great
The music was great
The women hot (I was like 9 probally)

HOw can you like it :-/ ;D :D

the Cylons are human . . .[/quote]

??? - How can that be?

Re: Battlestar Galactica

Why even call it Battlestar Gallactica then? Doesnt sound like they took anything but the name. :-/

When I would watch this as a kid, I would sit in the recliner chair and then smack the backrest back whenever they took off in the shuttle thingies. It was the most fun when my dad did it too. haha!!!! :D

Re: Battlestar Galactica

Hehe :) It is really well written.

I don't have a problem with shooting bullets. It's honestly much more realistic IMO. Those things would be deadly in space. Rail Guns are pretty cool (as to how they function). Definitely a nice way to shoot things in space.

My brother and I did that, too! ;D

Such a great show.

Re: Battlestar Galactica

My Tivo screwed up on capturing the first episode (the movie?) and I was out of town for the follow-on episode, so I picked up the new show with the episode '33'.

I have to say, I like this one better, and I too really liked the original TV show.

I was thinking today, as I finally got around to watching the prison ship episode, that Baltar is just more convincing as the new character than as the old one was. The old Baltar (John Colicos, or something like that?) was deliciously sinister, but he was kind of plastic in a sneering way. Plus, I LOVE that hot blonde that dogs the new Baltar's waking dreams.

I don't care that Starbuck is a chick. It wasn't like Apollo and Starbuck ever got their hair as mussed up as Kirk and Spock.

Re: Battlestar Galactica

33 was an awesome episode. I love this show, but I'm not old enough to remember the original, even though I know I saw some of it. WTF is a Daggit? I'm not even sure what to think about this:

That's why I feel I cam to this continent 27 years too late...

I envy you guys! ???What's Battlestar Gallactica ???

Re: Battlestar Galactica

“Daggit” was their word for “dog.” (They had a lot of different words for things, something which should have been translated over.) Muffit was a daggit, but he died in the Cylon attack on Caprica (or at least ran away). They gave Boxey a robotic “daggit” to take his place.
