Battery storage - to charge or not to charge

I’ve read on this site where the batteries for the DVX100A should be stored fully charged if they will not be used for an extended period of time (1 week? 1 month?)

However the manual for the DVX100A which arrived a few days ago states that the battery should be fully discharged before storage.

Which is correct? In addition to the battery that came with the camera I also ordered 2 of the 5000mah from Jarred. Does that make a difference?

Thanks for your help.

After some online research, the conclusion I have come to is that Li-Ion batteries should be discharged to 30% to 50% of capacity for long term storage. Long term meaning a year or more.

In regards to a week or month; I can't find any information.

Personally I always charge my batteries before storing them, but I'm not storing them for anymore than a month.
