Battery Questions

I work for a municipality that is purchasing the DVX 100a.
Can we use the Anton Bauer ABDP14 batteries with this camera?

If so, can they be mounted to the camera using the Anton Bauer QR DVX adapter? If not, I guess we would purchase a battery belt to use during tripod situations.

Also, I've heard that the Panasonic four-hour batteries cannot provide power for an on-cam light...is that correct?

hi john,
no, you can't use the these batteries with the DVX - at least not directly. i think i know what the QRDVX is and that should make it possible to use the AB batts - its a small pouch with a cable coming out, correct?
if so - it also reduces the output of the batt from 12v to 9.2-9.6v - which is what you need. but it won't be mounted ON the DVX.
