Hey,

I have a Bescor battery pack that is primarily for a little portable light. But B&H carries a power adapter that allows you to connect the DVX to a 12 volt source using a cigarette adapter-type connector.

I rarely use it, but it saved the day when I was shooting in the jungle in Nepal and a hailstorm knocked out power for several days.
I had hiked through scary rhino territory to reach a river that a herd of elephants was crossing. Right when they appeared, my last DVX battery died. The Bescor was the last thing I had that was holding juice.

Without it, I would have hiked back crying over the missed footage...

DO NOT use that adapter to plug your camera into a car's accessory outlet. Danger!
