Battery adapter Manhattan Lcd + HXV

We are in the process of developing a small footprint converter ( a little bigger than the HVX battery) to generate 12V. It will power a monitor for about 3 hours using a 5600mah battery. Cost ~ $90-$100

Please post that in the news section when you're done because I would really be interested in that but I don't visit the hardware section often enough. Would the adapter be limited to panasonic, or would you have other manufacturers batteries as well?

if anyone's interested, i've just received my monitor, and i can confirm that, with the nebtek adapter i linked to above, i have no problem powering the monitor from an HVX battery. the adapter is pretty nice--it's pretty small and unobtrusive, and it has a battery life indicator. i just velcroed it to the back of the monitor, and it looks like it's going to work really well.

Cesare could you post pics of that setup? I've always wanted to see the nebtek adapter, the website pic sucks.

Funny you asked, as we are going to have the first few built in the next few days. But we are not going to ship internationally yet, before testing here in US is completed. Anybody wants to be a BETA tester?

I'd be a Beta tester. But I'm in canada, we're the same voltage and everything though.

note: I should have finished reading the thread before I began replying.

Hey Ecking, thank you for your interest. I will look for the locals first, which might be including our friends from Canada :-) I just did not think sending the first few pieces to Australia would be a smart idea...
