batteries: V- mount or Anton Bauer Gold mount

Any difference between those two? If you were to choose a new battery system from scratch without any gear investment in any of those which one would go with and why?

AB Mount is the most secure IMHO. VLock is okay but I have seen far more problems from that system. Never had any problem with an AB. The reason seems to be nice large studs that mate very well with the battery plate and the contacts are done in such a way that it seems to be harder to have an issue. The VLock has this little spring loaded cover they try to bring up over the contacts when the battery isn't in use. Plus the pins are perhaps a bit smaller on VLock. Anyway, the spring loaded cover catches sometimes in odd positions and then it has to be freed.

If it's just about the mount, I would have to go with the V. There are many batteries by other mfrs that also have the V mount ( Sony, IDX etc,) so that in the event that I would need to borrow/rent , there would be more likely that the V will be in stock over the Gold Mount. I see more V mount with lighter batteries than the Gold. Also perhaps better when one wants to sell them, there is more likely one looking for the V mount to purchase than the older Gold Mount. I thinK.
