Batteries run flat - Sennheiser SKM100 G2

Hi,

I have bought a Sennheiser SKM100 G2 handheld wireless microphone, but if I leave the batteries in it and switch it off, the batteries get drained within a week.

I have other Sennheiser G2 transmitters (ew100 G2 bodypack transmitter, and the SKP00 plug-on transmitter) and when I switch these off, the battery level remains constant when I switch it back on.

To me it sounds like there is a fault with my handheld microphone, but I thought I would ask you guys if anyone has experienced something similar.

Any advice?

I don't know if there is battery drain or not; I do know that I, and everyone I know removes batteries from mic systems between jobs.
 
Thanks Sneakle. I have always left my batteries in... unless I would not have a job for over a month.
