batteries never fully charging

bought 2 secondhand batteries but when I try to charge them they just continue to charge and charge...

They are 5 hour batteries, left them overnight to charge but in the morning (after about 8 hours of charging) the charger still had the light on like it would when it continues to charge...

Is this due to the batteries or the charger? Since I dont know when the batteries are charged how long would you charge them for? (they are the dvxuser 5600 mah batteries)

Its a Panasonic charger, the first time I charged them they lasted about 3 or 4 hours but then the next time I left the batteries charging over night and put them on the shelve after they charged.
After 3 days I put the batteries into the camera and both were showing as "low battery"...

Not sure if this is the charger or if I need to buy even more batteries :(

I use eBay chargers, in addition to the Panasonic charger, and I have found no discernible difference. That being said, your problem is probably with the batteries. An inexpensive way to confirm this is to purchase a cheap charger.

The Li-Ion batteries last in general 3 years, when they get old, or develop defects, they loose capacity, and also could self discharge. From your description (second hand batteries) it sounds like you need to get some new batteries.

Tried charging the batteries again and now they dont charge at all (one unbranded 5600mah battery and a 5400mah dvxuser battery)...
contacted the seller but he said that the batteries were less then 2 years old and one of them barely even used...

Disaster :(

And to add to the fun there is no batteries in stock in the Landmine shop at the moment...

came home and tried running the cam from ac power and the charged doesn't charge the camera...
so I guess it must be a problem with the charger instead... (the light on the charger comes on but doesnt power the camera)

guess its of to ebay to find a cheap charger :-\
