I'm looking for a transcoder that can basically watch a folder and anything that is dropped into that folder will get transcoded into XDCam HD op1a at 50mbps to send to our Avid Airspeed. Need to kind of set it up as a server and FTP or make a file share or something to get stuff into it and out of it.
Anyone know of a decent product before I spend a bunch of time researching this? I know there are high end tools that do this exact function, but none are in our budget right now. Really needs to run on Windows or Linux and kind of prefer Linux so I don't need to buy another OS license (budgets are getting increasing tight).
A small learning curve to get it running is fine.
Bonus if it can take files and crunch them down into h.264 mp4 from a different folder.
