Batch slowing-down of 120p videos on timeline

My current workflow is to trim all clips and put on timeline first, before batch slowing-down the 120p clips on the timeline.

As all the clips are placed side by side, the clip restricts itself to the original length even after being slowed down. As such, I either have to slow it down 1 by 1 (during trimming process) or shift the clips and give empty space before slowing down.

Is there a better way to do this?

In the Speed settings pop-up window click the "Ripple timeline" checkbox.

Slow them down first with the Modify command.

and what if my timeline is 24p, clip is 120, and i only want to slow down 2x?
