batch digitize continuous clips

I have tried to capture a 30 minute program in 2 parts. I log 2 clips with timecode that ends and then starts back to back.

After the pieces digitize, there is a gap that lasts a few seconds in between the two clips (so that they do not match visibly, although the timecode matches up).

Why is this? Does this happen for everyone? Is this a fault within Premiere, or does it have to do with timecode in DV not being accurate/reliable?

Thanks,
Lucas

Re: batch digitize continuous clips

I've had similar batch capture problems with PPro and since it was not an issue before this version, I tend to think it unique to Premiere. Try this: Make sure the capture device set in PPro matches your actual device (the default is generic), including the type of time code. Increase the preroll from 2 to 5 seconds or so.

The device its correct (dvx:), but I will attempt to give it a longer pre-roll. I don't see how that may fix it, but I'll try

Let us know if it helps at all. And again, make sure the time code type matches. If you shot with NDF, set Premiere to NDF in device setup.
