Batch Capture question...

As I am preparing to import some clips, I noticed something in the description of the settings right before I was about to click OK for a batch capture.

Now I am all set up correctly to import 24PA footage on a 23.98 timeline however it says something about a DCR-TRV10 Using NTSC (Isn't this a Sony Camera?) and as far as the frame rate per second, it shows 29.97! Why does it not say DVX100 for the camera and 23.98 for the frames per second? All of my settings are set up correctly. The sequence settings match the capture settings.
 
A couple of questions. Are you using the 24PA preset? Are you using the DVX100 to capture? It sounded like that's what you are using. The 29.97 is correct in the description as long as you are using the advanced pulldown preset. It will show up afterwards as a 23.98 clip. I don't use the DVX100 to capture, but I notice that it sees my deck as a TRV900 which it is not, so not sure how it determines what to list as the device. Others who use a DVX100 to capture may be able to comment. Steve
 
Actually I am using a Sony GVD-1000 MiniDV deck to capture so maybe thats why its reading it as a Sony product. Yes I am using the 24PA preset with the pulldown removed.
 
The sony "preset" is just a title, there is nothing special about it. As long as it recognizes the deck, you'll be fine.
