I'm going to be editing my first short that's been shot on HD (Z1U) very soon. Now I just wanted to know about the correct procedure with batch capture. I stumbled upon this method which I have used in the past but with mini DV http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/log_capture_workflow.html .
Now that has worked for me in the past so I assume this will work the same for HDV??
Also I know one of my tapes has a timecode break in it so I don't exactly know how to get around that using batch capture?
And finally. Should I use the HDV format or ProRes to edit with?
