BASURA -the story of a community's initiative for a greener environment

BASURA- means trash or garbage in our language.

In this video, the first part shows a bleak environmental situation and towards the middle to the end, an eco solution was undertaken towards a positive outcome.

-with that story outline I used EDIUS' ability to stack filters and playback realtime to create the corresponding moods starting with a contrasty desat look in the beginning then slowly bringing out color and saturation towards the end.

A combination mostly of the WB filter -which I personally think is more than just that and SHOULD be renamed a 3 way color corrector! -also the color balance and on certain clips the YUV filters was used.

This was shot using JVC HD200 with a DIY 35mm adapter.

Excellent message and delivery! It is nice to see good efforts by cities and have it well documented.

I agree about the White Balance filter. The name really should be changed. It does so much more. I don't know if you saw the tutorial someone did a while back but it is still appropriate.

Ive seen its website, saw the screen shots, at a glance it looks like a lot of fancy presets, reminds me of video toaster, dunno why, LOL.

I'm never keen on using preset effects, usually I story board my effects and custom make any fancy titling or fx. But for this particular video I need to "tone" it seriously so no fancy stuff. Gotta make sure the message gets transmitted clearly.

Thanks for posting that wb tutorial, I've seen it long time ago but it was a nice refresher to view it again, specially the use of the limiter within wb, I tend to use the chrominance filter for that, so it was nice to know I can do it within WB.

The VisTitle titler is nice. Presets if you want but also very customizable. The best I have seen in quite awhile.
