Basic kit for video training

I work for a small media production company and we have a project in the works to train up a team at a local community organisation to produce their own weekly videos. The aim is to run them through production and post-production workshops to allow them to use the gear with confidence and learn the craft of putting together micro videos.

Part of my task is to put together a list of recommended equipment which they will purchase, use and manage. Ideally the gear should allow them to produce a baseline quality product and give them room to grow their skills. Budget is unfortunately tight though. I had assembled the list below but would love suggestions on whether more cost effective alternatives could be substituted (cheaper lapels that work almost as well, for example):

Camera: Sony NX30
Tripod: Manfrotto MVK500AM
Mics: Sennheiser EW 112-P G3 + headphones
Edit: Adobe Premiere & Photoshop Elements
Storage: Synology DS214 w/ 2 x 4TB drives + duplicate external backups

All up that comes to about AUD $5k but I'd love to bring that down to under $4k if possible. A camera like a C100 Mk1 would be nice with ND filters (shooting is 100% outdoor in a bright location) but that'll push the budget further. Is there anywhere I could recommend cost savings? I'm trying to put this together on a shoe string for them.

Cheers!
