Basic Kino Questions

1. What do you do to offset the magenta look from Kino lights?
Would adding green gels to the lights work? if so, can anyone recommend a specific type of gel?

2. Besides the difference in how light is projected, are there any other differences between positioning a Kino horizontal vs. vertical?

Thanks.

I believe the bulbs just look magenta, but they don't actually emit a more magenta light. I've noticed that especially with the diva lights, but I'm not quite sure if it's just the lights I usually use.

If it is a bit magenta though, it's just a plus green gel. I wish I knew what they call it other than that, but it's a start, right?

this is one thing i have noticed betewen my cdm 150 frensels and my fluorescent fixtures from cool lights.

Between the two of them, they both deliver day light, but if bouncing off of a white source, it is easier to see that either the hmi light delivers a more green light, or the fluorescent delivers a more magenta light. Which one is more accurate to daylight i have no clue, which one to correct? Still not sure.
