Basic basic question: fcp and hpx-170

I've just shot a new project with the hpx-170 at s% on the scene file dial (720p 24 native) and want to make sure everything is kosher as I always change settings - is there a tutorial or specific site I can go that will help with specific setups in FCP (Like which easy set-up? Which sequence settings? etc...) so I can double check I'm all good before I bring in the footage? I have searched posts but I think this is so basic, it doesn't seem to be up here. Thanks!

Not sure about a site with this info, Evolvnys.

Sequence preset should be DVCPROHD 720p24. FCP is exporting, so I can't check to verify right now (might also be DVCPROHD 720p60). Someone else can probably chime in while we wait for my sequence to export.

Anyone shoot with multiple formats and cameras? Do you set up a preset for each one? Does this include both the main setup and sequence settings or do you have to change each time? Any tutorials on organizing this stuff when shooting multi formats? All I can find is stuff from FCP 5 - not so helpful.

FCP will change the sequence settings to match your footage. FCP 6 and 7 do this...so no worries.

When shooting multiple formats, convert to ONE SINGLE FORMAT before editing. Otherwise, you'll be hating life.
