Basic Audio ?

I have a bunch of audio events on the same track.  Most of them are too loud, and it's easy to lower the dBs of the individual events.  However, I'd like to increase the gain on one event, but the max gain is 0 dBs.

I could move the soft audio to a new track and apply a volume envelope, but I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to boost gain on a single audio event without effecting the other events on the same track.

Any tricks or tips are appreciated.

add audio fx filter volume to that event ,non real time it will give you another take with whatever level you want

Thanks -- that did it. I haven't dug into these filters (or the video yet). Are there any good resources for those?

Did you try Normalizing the audio on that event?

As for resources, check out the materials by Douglas Spotted Eagle (particularly as he's a sound man) and also Gary Kleiner.
