Basement Lighting

(This is a re-post from the technical hvx-200 thread, I thought I would get more responses here. I didn't notice there was a 'lighting' section on this site...)

I have a music video planned and we are storyboarding for a lot of the footage to be shot in a basement and we want a dark look but the subjects face and body fairly well light. Does anyone have any lighting suggestions (how many lights and at what wattage, positions)? Camera settings?

We are looking for something along this aesthetic:

Thanks!

Pretty simple. Depending on the size of your basement, one or two small flourescents hung overhead, wrap the bulbs in ND gel to bring the intensity down, to keep the overall room ambience down, then light your talent with one or two small china lanterns, or a small kino. You could use some fresnel's if you wanted some accentuated spots on the walls. That's it in a nutshell I guess. Happy shooting!
