Barry's Book for UK users?

I live in London so am obviously using the Pal version DVX100a. Does Barry's book cover the Pal version? Does it come with a DVD or Tape I can play in this region? And if it's yes to the first two questions what's the best way of me getting a copy here in the UK. Thanks in advance.
 
you should buy it to him, i think paypal. I guess DVD will come encoded to region 1 so here will be difficult to wach... Just use your computer, usually DVD players programs can read every region... and sure, get a comfortable sofa to wach it in front of your machine
 
I actually sold an order to Panasonic UK, they used them in a promotion for the DVX. I asked them if I needed to re-do the DVD to be PAL-compatible, and they tested it and said "no, works fine here"...

I did try to cover PAL as much as I can in the book, but the DVD is encoded as NTSC. If your TV/DVD player support NTSC playback (and from my limited understanding of the British television market, many of them do) then you should be able to play it fine. Or, it should play in any computer DVD player.

Thanks for the interest, and I hope it works for you. I've sent many to UK residents and never heard back about anyone having a problem with it, but I do try to make it clear that it is encoded at NTSC, so just be aware that you'll be getting an NTSC product.
 
Thanks Barry, I've just ordered my copy. By the sounds of all the feedback I'm sure I won't be dissapointed. Unfortunatly Panasonic UK are a bit slack when it comes to promoting the DVX in the UK.
