Barrell distortion?

Anyone have any idea of where significant barrel distortion begins to disapear on the DVX's lens? I'm just trying to get a general idea of the base MM setting to achieve the straighest lines, expecially in the corners.

Depends on how close you are to your subject. At full wide angle, right up next to a door frame, you'll see significant barrel distortion. At full wide angle on a panoramic scene, you won't see any distortion.

why dont you just test it out, and decide when the image is good for you.. i personally think anything above z10 is pretty usable for the most part.. above 15 is almost always safe.
