Hey Everyone,
If you use the Barracuda 7200.11, ES.2 SATA, and DiamondMax 22 Drives, you should know that some of these drives have had firmware failures due to a manufacturing error and should be BACKED UP ASAP!
My drive failed on me last Sunday and I heard about this issue through a friend. I contacted Seagate and they owned up to their mistake and fixed my drive, FREE OF CHARGE.

If you have one these drives, and it is operational, you can update the firmware over the phone with their tech-support. If you have one that has failed, contact them and see what they can do...
Despite this issue, I am very impressed with how they came through and will continue to buy their drives in the future...
