Barndoor issues

Alright I feel dumb for asking this but I cant seem to get the barn doors on my Arri's to stay on. They actually aren't mine they are rentals so I am afraid to force anything and breaking it. If anyone could help that would be great. I know this sounds very basic but I just cant it to stay on.

On the top front part of the light (right above the lens), there's a spring-loaded metal piece. Rotate that to the side, slide the barndoors into the grooves and then rotate the metal piece back so that it locks into the groove in the barndoor frame. I'd take pictures, but I'm not near my lights right now.
