I shoot Pirates.
I saw barbarella for the first time this week.

not sure why it took me so long. Not what i expected, but i wasn't disappointed either. it was kinda weird, in a good way. some really cheesy images, but fun, a little long. it started to get better towards the end where it had some really funny moments.

there was a scene when she has "sex" with a resistance fighter, and they do "the deed" by taking pills and touching hands, and i immediately thought of a scene in demolition man where sly tries to have sex with sandra bullock and she starts in on the whole we do it different now and starts to get grossed out when he wants to be all physical...its a total lift from barbarella, its the same scene!...funny.

anyway, she is smokin in this movie and you cant take your eyes off of her. amazing.
 
The longest sequence in the film for me was the opening sequence. I paused, zoomed, rewinded, paused, zoomed so many times it must have took more than 20 minutes.
 
The funniest thing from that movie is the character's name (Duran Duran) and the kids with the colorful hair etc. ...

out of that morphed the 80's group with the same name and look!
 
Ditto on the opening scene. I think HBO or Showtime ran that movie for a while when I was maybe 16 and I tried to watch the opening every time.
 
Caught Barbarella about a year ago. It's pretty campy and I thought it worked until about 45 minutes into it. Definitely too long and thin on material to sustain the energy. Jane Fonda was smoking.

hahaha...probly cinemax...when i was a kid skinamax would show Heavy Metal allot, so i would always try to watch it...loved naked cartoon chicks.

anyway, i really liked barbarella, cheesy as hell...but i dunno...maybe its cause shes so easy on the eyes...
 
I liked the irony of playing her "organ" with a real organ.

I can't remember if this was first mainstream sex device or the Orgazmatron in Sleeper.
