balancing glidecam 4000

I got this super cool glidecam 4000 thibg but i cant seem to be able to balance it correctly....Please help me i have a dvx100b...How many weights should i have and where should the center of gravity be?

balancing steady-cams can be pretty frustrating. Especially if it is the first time using your glidecam. A few suggestions. Make sure to balance the camera with it completely set up... ie. tape loaded, LCD screen to appropriate location, lens covers off, etc. Since you have the 4000 (good size) it shouldn't be too difficult. I tried to balance a fully loaded DVX on a merlin and it took a good amount of sweat to get it right.
