Balancing DSLR on Steadyvid?

I bought the Roxant Steadyvid, which got good reviews from everybody, but am having a terrible time trying to balance it for the DSLR. I got the GoPro balanced by using washers instead of the included weights, but for the DSLR the weights don't seem to be heavy enough. I tried using a 2.5lb dumbbell but that wobbles around.

Has anyone successfully balanced their DSLR on one and wants to give the settings (which holes and where)? Thanks.

I recommend researching how to balance a steadicam (steadicam pilot or glidecam for instance). Never played with the steadyvideo, however, the principles are the same.
