Balanced VS unbalanced wireless mics? (GSM interference)

Can anyone say if unbalanced wireless mics such as found on Sennheiser G2 and Sony UWP series could become a problem with GSM/Mobile interference.
And would using a balanced system avoid such interferences?

I mean could the unbalanced mic line become interfered when talent is walking on crowded streets etc...

It's quite hard to determine which of the sub $1500 systems are truly balanced and which are not, I think the ATW1800 series and Lectrosonics 100 (almost) are.
And then there are $100 no-name diversity systems that are balanced but without any fruther specifications.

Thanks,

Regarding the unbalanced mic:-
All tie mics are unbalanced and I have never heard of a problem in this respect with G2 systems.

Regarding the receiver:-
The G2 100-p series is unbalanced and the G2 500-p series is balanced.

Obviously the balanced output is safer and you have the added advantage that you can connect to a long cable if required. The unbalanced 100 on-camera receiver is OK on-camera, but I would never put it on an extension cable. I have not heard of problems withh G2 100 if the small receiver is on the camera.

I hope this helps.

Adding to John's reply - the cell phone interference rides in mostly through the electronics in the receiver itself, and secondarily the tranmitter and camera circuits, and not so much from the short interconnection cables.
