Bag?

I'm going to buy a new bag soon for my 100b and wanted to ask everyone what they liked and recommend for my baby, lol....:)

what kinda "bag" you need man? duffle, backpack, chronic sack....:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

what you gonna need to use it for? lookin chill and camera-free on the subway, snowboarding around with it on your back, or toting to the production studio day in day out?

these decisions can dictate the type-o-bag you want...

i'm assuming duffle-bag style?? portabrace and cinebags make some dope ones...bukue $$ tho but everyone says they're worth it...Jared rocks one i'm pretty sure...i'm not a duffle-bagger myself - i'm a snowboard around with it on my back kid, so i can't vouch for a certain model...check around on B&H's website...

I have the Pelican 1510 which I bought at TheBoxStore.com an Ebay seller.

That's just for my camera stuff. For my gear, audio, cables and such I got this:

Cinebag at the best rate I could find without getting a quote from evsonline. This
seller has a good rating and I got my bag, trouble free.

Tha bag is awesome, lot's of pockets. I may 'spring' eventually instead of the one that came with the camera...http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?ci=1&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=product.jsp&A=search&Q=*&bhs=t&shs=IMDVCB&image.x=8&image.y=7
This is the bag that comes free with purchase:

Honestly, I think it is not worth it. There is only one zippered pocket on the outside. It is not wide enough to keep batteries The dvx fits okay, but not real snug. It has some adjustable velcroed dividers, but they are not very deep. So it only comes up about 2-3" up the side of the camera -- so it almost looks totally exposed inside. Anything you put in to the compartments, can easily come out and hit the camera. Keeping accessories, like a microphone is not great, due to the way the dividers inside push it to one half of the side of the case. (I know you can adjust and reposition the dividers, but the width and size of them pretty much gives you no choices for configuration)

There seems to be a lot of wasted space in there. I definately would not put any loose batteries and the camera in there at the same time. There is no way to strap anything down inside (I suppose you could get some velcro straps to cover the compartments, but the interior wall of the case is extremely thin and may not stay attached)

Oh yeah, the interior is a gross baby blue... Well, I got it for free, but if I paid for it , I would be sorely disappointed.

-- Hey LakeFilms, I misunderstood your post - I thought you were saying the dv impact bag was awesome.... and then I re-read it and, and um.... well, nevermind. Its late and I need to go to bed now....

Yea:cheesy: This one came with my camera. I got a Pelican case as well, and never even put the DVX in the soft case. I use it to hold cables, sound gear, Barry's book, rain slicker, sunshade, cheese and crackers, etc.

I would like to invest in a good shoulder bag or backpack, as the Pelican is one hefty case(I still love it, though).
