Bag for 100A: Kata MC-60 vs. Petrol PCUB-1 ?

If any of you have experience with either of these bags I'd appreciate feedback.
The Kata MC-61 has replaced the 60 but they're very similar. The Petrol bag seems to have more features but also more weight (7 lbs. plus).

I need to use one of them for considerable air travel with the camcorder.

Thanks.

I have the Kata and its really nice. Lots of different places for stuff, rugged, plenty of room, etc. (Except that I stuff my DVRigPro in and it really doesn't fit, but almost does.) Randy from EVS told me that people have carried it on airplanes.

Hi cp, as far as I know both are legit for air travel. The MC60 is lighter because the materials are lighter. they are both sturdy and protect the cam in a shell. The MC60 has more pockets and such. Here are the links:

Can you tell me the difference between the Kata MC-60 and the new MC-61?

thanks.

You know, the kata rep was in here about a month ago, and I remember he mentioned something, but I really couldn't remember, perhaps because the difference was so minute. Interior cosmetics or something.... Sorry... :embarasse

I just remembered from the meeting that I still had some old MC60's and once they're gone we can only get the 61's... that's about it
