Bad Dissolves Why

I'm trying to compress a DVD and some of the dissolves pop or pixelate as they go in our out. It doesn't do that in FCP, just after I have compressed it with Compressor 2. Some of the dissolves are fine, but a good half dozen or so are not. I've tried putting compression markers on them but still nothing. I author with DVD Pro 4.

Why does this happen. Is there a fix? Does it have anything to do with corrupted files? (I have no other symptoms). Is this a flaw with Compressor 2.? Is there a better compressor out there? If I redo the dissolves will that help?

When I have taken my drive and had a D-Beta made and DVDS from there the dissolves all looked great. Why?

Thanks for your help.

What settings did you use in Compressor? I've had this happen occasionally, going from FCP to DVDSP via Compressor. As far as I can tell, and from what I've read elsewhere, there's a bug in the 2-pass VBR setting in Compressor that (sometimes) causes this.

Open your project in Compressor again, and set it to encode with single-pass, either VBR or CBR, and see if that fixes it.
