Backlit Music Video

Hello All,

Quickie here;

What sort of lighting would I require to shoot a Music Video such as;

I've been looking into getting a Arri 1000watt, but I'm not sure. Any help would be grand!

Arri 1k won't do that, since those lights seem to be VERY wide so they wrap around the subjet. Pick up a few kino 4ft 2banks (daylight bulbs) and they should create that look

Yup, i suspect you'll need a whole lot more than a K of light. Depends a lot on how much side lighting and front detail you want though, and also what exposure settings you have on your camera. Definitely worth some tests before shooting for real.

You might want to stick a light haze in there too

Put a 10K HMI on a cherry picker. Park it 40 ft away and you are still getting about 60 FC to the subject.
