Backing up to DVD, need some advice.

After completing a project I have been just leaving everything sitting on my internal hard drives but I'm at the point now where I need to move stuff off of the drives and onto some sort of back up media. Is there a way to back up all of this data onto DVDs? If so what's the best way to do this so that it backs up all of the render files, and stuff?

Also, I don't have any of the footage on tapes. The footage was shot directly to a hard disk and now the only copies reside locally on my mac.

Thanks.

I'd dump the footage back to tape... remember dvd will still only hold 4.7 gigs of material. Not many frames, if you know what I mean.

Plus, you don't really want to keep render files... why? Just render it again as needed.
