Backing up files over 4gbs...

I'm sure this has been covered but I just tried a search and couldn't find anything. I'm backing up my 275gbs of DV NTSC DVX footage. What I've been doing is copying and pasting from my 500GB FW800 Lacie Quadra over to a 320GB Lacie USB 2.0. I've noticed it won't let me paste files over 4gb and I remember from before that this has to do with the Fat32 formatting of the backup drive. I've already copied over 95% of my files so I don't want to reformat the drive if that's one of the options. What should I do?

Thanks Shane. Anything I can do? Any way to split the files? It's not a huge deal because I've got them on tape but I wouldn't mind throwing them on this drive if possible.

Are they .dv files? are they audio or graphics files? You could always split them in your NLE and output them under 4GB each...But that would probably be a lot more time intensive than just reformatting the drive and recopying the data.

They are quicktime, so .mov no? To reformat the drive and recopy the files would take 4+ hours. I have maybe 6 files to split, only one needs to be split more than once. Probably quicker to split. How do I split the acutal source media in an NLE?
