background conversation for stage

Hi guys. I'm wondering if anyone has come across a "background conversation" for stage performances. I worked at a theatre long ago and we had a conversation the actors kept repeating over and over again - one that didn't include any "hard" or "hissing" sounds like "s" "t" or "p". Problem is it was in Norwegian so it's pretty much useless in Canada.

Has anyone come across a similar piece of text that is used in English speaking theatre? there must be one, I just don't know how to find it. They usually consist of two or three lines that are exchanged between two people and repeated over and over again.

I know that "Rhubarb" is often used by BG actors to convey talking convincingly. As far a conversations, I can't remember. I'm sure somebody here will know a good one though.
