Background color change

OK here it is.
I need to include a client logo in the beginning of a video. I opened Photoshop created a dark green background and imported the logo. I also added a bit of text at the bottom. Format is 1280 x 720 which is fine. I flatten the image and import into Final Cut Express. So far so good. After importing into FCE the dark green photoshop background is now black. The logo is there but the text below is missing. Soooo, what is up with that?

Any help would be appreciated.

It would have been easier to use a transparent background in Photoshop instead of the green and then exported it as a TIFF with Alpha Channel. No need to go thru all those other extra steps.

What file type did you export from Photoshop? In my experience, .PSD files don't always import into Final Cut the way you would expect them to.
