background audio ???????? please help

so im doing this vidoe where i filmed on scene of a drag strip adn i interviewed this person and u can hear them but in the background u can hear the anouncer and i dont want that to distract people from the interview, how could i get rid of this if possible please help
 
Kinda impossible unfortunately. You can play around with the parametric EQ to try and minimize but really what you want is beyond control. Next time you want to shoot with a shotgun microphone so you don't pick up unwanted background sounds.

ok ill see what i get, i used a wireless clip on and monuted it on his shirt and didnt think i would get background noise seeing as ive used it in other projects and never had a problem, so when i use my shot gun mic should i use a boom pole?
 
Or hire an experienced sound recordist once or twice to see how they work. You should be able to detect most issues with good headphones as you record.

yea i would do that but im only 18 and dont have that much money to test stuff with but so far my vids jsut shooting and editng by myself have came out great i start film school in january so im sure ill learn a bunch in the 3 years im there, thanks a bunch for your help talk to ya soon
