Caral - Has been verified as the Oldest city in the Americas. It is a complex site with 18 structures. This civilization had no pottery at this point, built these incredible structures and were trading with coastal tribes nearly 1000 years earlier than previously believed. They had an advanced religion and organized society and were building Pyramids the same time the Egyptians were.

It is near the town Canta, just up the road from this is the Seven Color Lagoon. I didn't get a shot of that, I was too out of breath to get out of the car. The air was very thin.

Very cool pics. I like the last one the most.

Welcome home.

Re: Back in America

Thanks Guys. I have finally been catching up to everything. Then got behind with winter storm, we had lightening with our snow this past weekend and our internet was knocked out for several days. Thought I was back in Peru.

I don't know if I wrote this, but all those pictures were shot with a little digital camera, the Canon Powershot A400, about $178.00. They all came out better than my friends film camera.

As a sidenote the Women's Bathroom was about 100 feet around the bend from where I was standing..... ;D
