CAnon AE1 program. 50mm at F1.4 1/60 shutter. BW C41 process film. Shot August 2005. IStanbul Turkey

That is an incredible shot... Looks like something from the 50's!

that country is stuck like 30 years ago.... everythign is new and old at the same time. its really great.

also the origional isnt so grainy. my scanner sucks and made all these weird artifacts.

That's pretty freakin nice for stock glass! What are your overall thoughts about Canon? I'm currently looking into getting the Nikon D70s but going with Canon has crossed my mind once or twice...

I love the Canons (especially when paired with their pro lenses), but they're all I've known up until trying out this HVX for video side. My sister loves her D70. I think it comes down to the lenses you want, and the ability to get to the settings you like the fastest. Since I'm used to the Canon, I stick with it. Even at 6MP with stock lens I've been able to make beautiful 24X36 posters (from photos like this it's color so I'll leave it as a link). You can see a lot of photos with the stock lens I've taken at my online photo gallery most have the EXIF data with the picture.

Hey, thanks for the info man. 24x36 at 6mp, that's awesome! I'll make sure to check out your gallery! Might change my mind about what camera to get. I've heard great things about the 20D.

Hey Everyone,
Well I know we all love our semiconductor cameras, heck I have a Phase 1 and a D200. But how about some old fashion Pol. Type 55 ? And the shot of the little girl, an art director ask me “What edge filter did you use?” I said… Film.

Hope you like ‘em

See yea,
Steve

Oh cool... one of those compact / SLR hybrids...

I was on the lookout for a digital camera myself and wanted something I could carry around without the bulk... I settled on a CANON A610... excellent little camera... like a tiny SLR with all the manual override controls one could dream of, incl. M, A, P, S, manual focus and more.... very happy with that camera... I'll post a couple of shots...

Sorry for the bad qaulity of the scans, their a little grainy. Taylor Moore-great idea to start this thread! (Shot on AE-1- cant wait to get my 20d)
