for some reason, when I make a dvd, I get troubles with motion. Specifically anything that moves will move this way: object moves forward on one frame, then moves slightly BACKWARDS on the next frame, then forwards again on the third frame, etc, etc, etc.
I'm absolutely certain that this is an interlace problem of some sort ...but beyond that I'm confused. why does this occur?
Footage was StandardDef interlaced, then output from FCP as "none compression" (worked fine) then run thru COMPRESSOR as best quality 2-pass VBR, interlace was set to "automatic". then burned to dvd thru DVD STUDIO PRO.
any thoughts? things I could/should check?
