Azden Receiver mounted on DVX100

Hi, unfortunatly Azden does not supply a clever shoe attachement for its wireless receivers like the 500UDR I have myself.
I was pretty disappointed when I received the Azden stuff and regretted my purchase instantly. Should have bought the Sennheiser instead. Might still do so, also for other reasons.
Anyway, this is what I did to make it work. I bought a Sennheiser CA2 attachement and screwed it on the back plate of the 500UDR.

Check also out the modification I made on the SpiderBrace and my Turnpod creation.

ps how do you know you wont screwup anything by screwing in the screws they wont hit anything?

I ordered the part form a local supplier. The Sennheiser part number is CA2. You can get it from B&H.

If you unscrew the plate of the Azden 500 you will notice that the component side of the print is up, so that leaves room enough for four small screws. I used 3 mm tapes and covered the screws with isolating tape just to be shure.

I mailed this also to Azden because I think it should be te responsibility of the manufacturer to supply such attachements instead of hoping that some third party jumps in where Azden fails. The physical design of these Azden receivers is downright terrible.

im planning on buying the 500 so if i need help putting the screws to the box i hope i can ask for your help.
