Azden Dual Channel wireless

I currently own a Sennheiser EK100 wireless system and have a scene that is a "walk and talk" that booming won't work on. So I had considered getting another wireless system (used maybe $300, new $500) but then I considered the Azden dual channel.

Does anyone have any experience with it? My thoughts are that at a price point of $640, I could sell my EK100 set and end up with the two channels of audio I need, a brand new set at $340.

...and another thought/option.

Would it be possible to mic two people, walking close to one another with one wireless? If so, what mic would I use (cardoid, hyper)?

I say for walk and talk on the long end of a tele, two wired lavs into Sony WMD-D7 DAT walkmans in the talent's pockets.

You can get those rigs now on eBay for around $100 apiece and you'll always use them for that kind of shot. Just put a 60 or 120 minute DAT into each one, have the talent clap for sync, and go for it.

No more worries. They can walk and talk for an hour before you have to change tapes.

I have 8 iRivers I could use for that matter, sound is phenomenal, but I was just worried about reliability and the final mix compared to the oktava

The Azden dual channel system is great I have the 200ULT combi but when I was at Nab this year the Azden rep showed me their new system that is lighter and the body packs work on 2 x AA bats not the PP3 so even better. I think it was the 300UDR at about the same price I think
