azden dual channel lavs

i've been seeing ads for that new azden dual channel reviever with two transmitters

i shoot two talents for work and this setup would make my life a lot easier, but reading the reviews on the b&h site lead me to questions. there are 2 good reviews and 2 bad reviews. so i turn to my fellow dvx users to see if i can rustle up some more comments about this setup. thanks!

I'm not sure if any of the regulars here in the forum have tested them, but I will tell you my personal experience with Azden products in general has been very poor (poor audio and build quality).

it is the general consensus here that the sennheiser ew100 g2 systems are THE entry level wireless system at about $500 for the sender and receiver. Many of the people here (myself included) think that the stock mic that comes with the g2 system (the me2) is not very good. It is a good idea to replace it with a countryman emw, b6 or sanken cos11.

You could try this Azden out, but I bet the mics sound terrible and you have all kinds of dropouts.

I am sure I am going to get flamed for that comment, but you get what you pay for.

i'm not too concerned about the mics, i would replace those anyway, just concerned about the quality of its transmitting and recieving with the 2 transmitters. be harsh about this, its worth it to get a harsh truth than to get dragged along and then buying a crappy product. thanks!

You will be in good shape with the sennheisers, they have a proven track record
