AWSOME geared video head.

Geared heads have been mentioned a couple of times on this board, but there never seems to be much information on them. So I made sure to stop by to check this little guy out - the GearNex geared video head. Enjoy!

As I've mentioned in the two other videos I've posted in the past couple of days, there was a ton of coverage at booths of the big guys, but not much at some of the smaller companies that were showing their smaller but incredibly useful products. So I thought I'd spend some of my time at the show covering the little guy. And to be absolutely crystal clear, I received no compensation of any kind in exchange for this video. The folks in these videos (there have been a couple so far) were kind enough to give me a few minutes of their time. Can't be said for some of the big companies at NAB (cough - Manfrotto - cough).

We used big dual speed geared heads years back shooting with Mitchell film cameras.
You need an A/C when shooting with one as both of your hands are busy.

True. If you're shooting alone or doing ENG type stuff, probably not the right head. But for film making and creative? You might want to have an extra set of hands to pull focus regardless of what head you use....
