Awesome Nikons Lenses for Brevis

Hey,

I was curious if anybody can list some really sharp and beautiful Nikon lenses for the Brevis lens adapter. I'm going to be shooting a short with the Brevis on the DVX and I haven't used an SLR adapter before. I've used teh PS technik so I kind of got used to a standard.

Anybody have experience using Nikons and can recommend some, with awesome sharpness and bokeh? Primes of course and fast too. 35mm still or Digital?

Thanks so much.

plenty already posted on the Nikons - look for TimurCivan's FAQ at the top of the page - and it will spell it all out - probably the majority here using Nikon lenses - I'm using a 28 f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4, 85 f/1.8 and looking for a f/2.8 zoom here shortly -

the 85 f/1.8 is absolutely stunning as is the 1.4 - I don't see enough to justify double the price though personally -

lots here to sift though - happy hunting :)

My small kit consists of the nikon 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4, and the 85mm 1.8.
The 35 is a little soft but is still my favorite lens to shoot with.
I'd suggest any of those in ai/ais

We've been doing extensive testing over the last week with the Canon FD 35mm f2.0 , 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8, and 135mm f2.8. After plenty of work with the vectorscope and hours of live feeds to our 1080P 42" panel, I can safely say the glass is good. Yes, they're better at the edges a stop or two in, like most lenses, but otherwise, I've been impressed with what I've seen. They're still reasonable on ebay too.

where do i find timur's faq, at the top of the 35mm adapters opennig page?

also, would the majority of you recommend 35mm SLR lens, or the Nikon Digital SLR lenses?

thanks.

Don't go with digital lenses.

And for the Brevis, it seems that Nikons with a large rear opening are much better in fighting the vignetting battle. I wasn't the first to observe this, but I can confirm it.
