Avid Xpress Pro HD Setup

Ok, I intend to put my Dual Xeon 3.06ghz box in Windows again (currently in linux) once I get my HVX200.

Now my question is if I get a Dell 2405FPW as a second monitor, can I get full screen output of my editing?

Is it in Avid you specify a display monitor to dedicate for HD output. Or do I have to hook the HVX200 in component to the Dell monitor and use firewire output to get full HD output on my screen ?

So all the editing will be in what ? Does Avid send via the firewire the DVCPRO HD video ? So I can send it to the camera then to a HD monitor ? What is a editing workflow in Avid ? Is it the same on other PC editor ?

I know transition/effect without render can't be real time in HD, that is fine, but I am stuck to a lower than SD work flow while editing ? What if I want my output to be sent to a projector while editing ?

Am I asking too much, is HD monitor while editing useless ?

No. From all reports the camera cannot work that way.
Can the HVX200 act like my Deck in Avid ? And output in component ?
Buy or rent the $12,000 Deck, or buy the Adrenaline. That's it.

Cheers.

That kind of s_ck... I hate Pana now hehe...

A 12k$ just for firewire dvcproHD to component... That kind of a waste... Well I am not going to spend 12k$ for that. A 1k$ solution might be 'acceptable'... Why can't Avid send content at fullscreen to a second monitor ?

Anyway I'll stick to SD editing for now I guess... Anyway, can't wait to get it ...

How do you plan to deliver your program in HD if you don't have an HD deck (and HD monitors)?
I guess most of those posting are dreaming for film output.
